Tripura News: State to Introduce Liver Transplantation, Specialist Doctors of State homecoming, says CM

Tripura Chief Minister Prof. Dr. Manik Saha announced on Wednesday that the state government is mulling to introduce liver transplantation procedures in the state and also informed the media that specialist doctors who had been working elsewhere are now returning to the state.

Tripura-Liver-Transplantation-CMDr. Saha said this during his inspection of IGM Hospital in Agartala this evening.

"I visited IGM Hospital today and previously inspected GB Pant Hospital. Since I had the time, I came here for a visit, accompanied by the Health Secretary and Medical Superintendent. I reviewed various departments and provided instructions on areas needing focus. I have directed the resolution of minor issues to ensure everything is up to date. I will continue to visit and monitor closely. Effective patient monitoring can resolve many problems," said Dr. Saha.

He mentioned that during his visits to AGMC and GB Pant Hospital, he instructed officials to address specific issues, and they are currently working on resolving them.

"I am satisfied with the progress, and our state government is striving for 100% satisfaction. We aim to commence kidney transplant procedures by June as patients are already prepared. This will eliminate the need for patients to seek kidney transplants outside the state. Additionally, we are mulling to introduce liver transplant process here in Tripura. We are also pleased to see specialist doctors gradually returning back here in our state," he added.
