Firing along NH in Tripura Hill

ProMASS, Manabendra Nag, Agartala: Nov 29, 2016: Miscreants today fired at a livestock carrying vehicle on Assam-Agartala National Highway at 43 Mile village area in Khowai district. Sources said, miscreants tried to stop the vehicle which were heading towards Mathli Haat in Dhalai District, however sensing trouble and danger, the driver increased the speed. In a desperate bid to stop the vehicle, miscreants fired at the vehicle. Unconfirmed sources informed, at least one person, named Hussain Mia (40) received bullet injury.  Mia is reportedly undergoing treatment at Kulai Hospital.

Four persons were travelling in a TR01P 1865 Bolero Livestock Carrier with around Rs 2 Lakh cash to purchase livestock from Mathli Haat.  It is believed miscreants intended to loot the money.  Police forces led by SP, Khowai Jayanata Chakraborty and 71 Battalion Company Commander Ram Nivas rushed to the spot. No one is arrested so far.
