Parliamentary team visits Tripura University

November 1, 2018 : A Parliamentary Committee on Official Language along with other officers visited Tripura University at Suryamaninagar on Thursday.

The Parliamentary team which included  Pradeep Tamta ( M P, Rajya Sabha), Dr Sunil Baliram Gaikwad (MP, Lok Sabha) , Pratap Rao Ganpatnrao Yadav ( MP, Lok Sabha) also held a discussion related to the varsity with Honourable Vice Chancellor of the Tripura University Dr V L Dharurkar where other senior officer from the university were present.

During their visit Dr Dharurkargave apprised the Parliamentary team of the development activities that had been taken in recent days by the varsity.

Vice Chancellor Dr Dharurkar informed the Parliamentary team that  Tripura University was going to start course on Indo Bangla Devlopment studies.

He informed the MPs that many new courses were being introduced in recent days in the varsity curricula. The MPs were also informed that the Tripura University had been running postgraduate degree course on tribal language Kokborak.

All the members were apprised of the Rajbhsha activities in the University. The MPs expressed their satisfaction at the  effective implementation of the Rajbhasha Hindi the University.

The MPs were accompanied by Renu Tamta and Dr Satyendra Singh, Senior Research Officer, Bikash Verma, Hindi Officer, Kiran Pal Singh, Senior Translator and others.

From the University besides the Honorable Vice Chancellor Registrar Sanit Deb Roy, Finance Officer U K Das, Hindi Officer Muneendra Mishra were present in the meeting.
