Food Festival celebrated in TU

Agartala, February 28, 2019: The students of Department of Business Management have embarked upon a journey to organize their annual management fest and alumni meet with great fervor and enthusiasm on 3rd March 2019. The preparation commenced today with a beautifully conceptualized a food festival at Tripura University campus.

Over 15 stalls were setup to showcase the diversity of local and Indian cuisine from different departments of Tripura University.  The noble objective of this food festival was to raise fund for the orphanage children and develop a sense of entrepreneurial acumen among the students.  The food outlets with a variety of mouthwatering homemade delicious dishes tempted and attracted each and everyone alike.

Dishes of the festival included like Momo, Paw bhajii, Bangui, dahi chiken, bhapa biriyani cooked in earthen pot, chicken pakoda, chicken and pork bharta. The food fest was organized with motivate the budding management students which will help them in developing their skills and talent.

Also, such festivals help student to learn team work, leadership, planning, with overall management skills. The students applied excellent strategy of pricing in which they offered home cooked food with very nominal rate and could generate a revenue of Rs. 25000/- in four hours.

After deducting the expenses the event produced a profit of Rs. 4000/- which will be donated to an orphanage on March 01, 2019.  All the visitors including teachers, students, staff, scholars and students lauded the noble effort of the department.
