Netaji jayanti observed with gaiety in Tripura

Amidst Covid19 induced restrictions, the 126th birth anniversary of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose was observed across the State with gaiety and sincerity, along with the other parts of the country on Sunday.

 

Today, the 23rd January, was also celebrated as ‘Parakram Diwas’ to commemorate the birth anniversary of Netaji.

 

In order to mark the occasion, various programmes were organized by several organizations as well as schools across the state.

 

Netaji-Jayanti-TripuraThis year much loved tableau of the Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan did not roll over the city roads due to Covid restrictions. However, the institution organized several other programmes to mark the occasion.

 

Education Minister Ratan Lal Nath inaugurated the programme organized by Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan at their Cultural Bhawan on Sunday.

 

Addressing the gathering Nath said, “The central government in working more than any other government ruled in the past to carry the patriotism of Netaji to the citizen of the country.”

 

In this connection he stressed on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s announcement of launching a Digital Museum related to Netaji from Red Fort on January 23 in 2019 last.

 

Moreover, Nath also recalled the announcement of ‘Parakram Diwas’ last year and said the Rail Ministry renamed the Howrah-Kalka express as Netaji Express.

 

Bapuji, Swamiji and Netaji are still being remembered with respect by people of the country, said Nath adding with the excellent leadership quality Subhas Chandra Bose became the Netaji.

 

Netaji was a legendary leader of freedom struggle and he was the first who talked about the freedom in the country, Nath added.

 

Secretary of Executive Committee of Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan, Tapan Chakraborty delivered the inaugural speech.

 

The Education Minister hoisted the National flag. The flag of the Azad Hind Force was hosted by the Chairman of Khadi and Village Industries board, Rajib Bhattacharjee in the programme.

 

AMC Councillor Ratna Datta, Head Master of Netaji Subhas Vidyaniketan Dibyendu Bikash Sen, West district Additional District Magistrate Ashim Saha, students and teachers of the school were present in the occasion.

 

Earlier, the Education Minister along with other guests offered floral tribute to statue of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose.
