Peace and unity prevailing in State, says Tripura CM Dr Manik Saha

The state government is working with the mentality of welfare and development of the people. At present, there is peace and unity in the state, said Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha after laying the foundation stone for the office of Chief Medical Officer in Ichailalcherra of Kalacherra block of North Tripura district on Friday (Dec 2).

 

The Chief Minister also inaugurated the newly built building of Brajendranagar Primary Health Centre of Kadamtala block and Kadamtala Block-Level Kaushal Mela today in a programme organized at Brajendranagar HS School premises.

 

In the programme Dr Saha said, the basic needs of the people are being delivered to them through different programmes. The facilities of different schemes and services of the central and state government under 'Prati Ghare Sushason' campaign. The campaign will continue till December 25.

 

The Chief Minister also said, the government services are being provided in the state maintaining transparency and honesty.

The Prime Minister’s dream is to make every person self-dependent. The state government is sincerely making efforts to fulfill this dream successfully.

 

He said, the government has taken various initiatives to make women self-dependent through Self-Helf Groups (SHGs). Before the present government took over, there were 39 thousand 824 women involved in SHGs in the state. From 2018 till 2022, 3 lakh 45 thousand women have involved themselves in SHGs. This is a glaring example of women empowerment.

 

The Chief Minister said, the government has given priority to improving connectivity of the state. Recently, the central government has approved 7 more NH roads in the state.

 

He said, the present government believes in action. A web portal, ‘Amar Sarkar’ has been launched recently for the welfare of the people to quickly resolve their problems. Plans are there to provide social pension to 30 thousand more beneficiaries under Mukhyamantri Samajik Sahayta Prakalp in the state.

The government has given special priority to improvement of health infrastructure and expansion of health care services.

 

He said, the government will not tolerate any kind of unruliness in the name of protests in the state, as the developmental work will be hindered with the lack of peace and prosperity in the state.

 

MLA Binoy Bhushan Das, MLA Malina Debnath, TIDC Chairman Tinku Roy, Sabhadhipati of North Tripura Zilla Parishad Bhabatosh Das, DM & Collector Nagesh Kumar B., District Police Officer Kiran Kumar K. and Chairman of Kadamtala Panchayat Samiti Subrata Deb were present in the programme. It is to be noted that the new building of Brajendranagar PHC has been built at the cost of Rs 4 crore 20 lakh.
