Ruling allies to sit together for TTAADC: Ram Madhav

While Tripura is battling hard against menacing Coronavirus and when ruling coalition partners - BJP and IPFT had several bitter face-offs, BJP National General Secretary and North East minister Ram Madhav arrived in Agartal on Friday in his pre-scheduled two day Tripura visit to assess the ground political situation and also to chalk out strategies for the ensuing ADC elections.

Madhav, who had played an instrumental role in dethroning Left from its stronghold is now eyeing at Tripura Autonomous District Council polls.

Madhav began his two days visit with undergoing a swab sample tests and offering prayers at Tripura Sundari temple.

Later on, Madhav joined an organizational meeting of the party in presence of all the district heads and party high functionary. BJP state chief Dr Manik Saha, Party General Secretaries Tinku Roy and Papiya Datta, MP Pratima Bhwomik were the others who participated in the meeting that started early this afternoon at BJP’s state head quarters.

Speaking to the media persons, in the sidelines of the meeting, Madhav said, “We have a meeting in the party headquarters to discuss the organizational issues and pertinent challenges that party leaders are facing at the local level. New strategies will be chalked out after a thorough exchange of views with the leaders”.

On being asked specifically about the growing distance between the BJP and IPFT, he said, “There may be some problems in the ground level but the BJP and IPFT stand together in the top level. Top brass of both the parties are quite positive and there will be a meeting with IPFT leaders”.

Replying to a question regarding cabinet expansion, Madhav said, “This issue can be discussed after the pandemic situation”.

Madhav also hailed Chief Minister Biplab Kumar Deb led Tripura government for successfully battling the Covid situations.

“The government of Tripura successfully tackled the Covid 19 situation in Tripura and the government has done its part quite effectively as of now”, he added.
