Tripura Government has decided to make recruitments in various departments as well as create new posts. The decisions were taken in the State Cabinet meeting held on Friday.

Briefing the media about the State cabinet decisions after the meeting, Information & Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury on Friday said the State cabinet gave its nod to the recruitment of 200 Pharmacists (Allopath) under the Health and Family Department.
It has been decided to recruit 20 Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) in the Audit Directorate under the Finance department. It has been decided to recruit nine Sub-Inspectors in the Excise department. These posts will be filled through the TPSC examination.
The ICA Minister informed the media that the state cabinet had decided on the recruitment of a total of 35 posts in different categories of the Food, Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs department.
Among these, six posts will be for Sub-Inspectors, three posts will be for Fumigation assistants, six posts for Junior storekeepers and 20 posts for LDC posts.
The creation of eight Assistant Divisional Fire Officers posts in the Fire Service department has also been approved.
Apart from this, the cabinet has approved the creation of 147 technical posts in the category of Draftsman, Junior Draftsman, Surveyor, Senior Surveyor and Overseer in the PWD department. These posts will be filled through promotion.
The cabinet has approved a few changes in recruitment rules for Pharmacist (Allopath), Lab Technician, and Ophthalmic Assistant posts.
Choudhury said that earlier the required qualification for the post of Pharmacist (Allopath), Lab Technician and Ophthalmic Assistant posts was a diploma in Pharmacy. Due to changes made in the recruitment rules, degree holders in Pharmacy may apply for the posts.
