Tripura: Tiranga rally to start from Circuit House on Aug 12, says ICA Minister

A rally will be organized on August 12 (Friday)  holding the Indian National Flag as a part of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign with the initiative of Information & Cultural Affairs department.

 

The rally will start at 3pm Friday from Agartala Circuit House Mahatma Gandhi statue premises and will end at Ujjayanta Palace. Information and Cultural Affairs Minister Sushanta Choudhury said in a press meet called at the Secretariat Thursday (Aug 11).

 

He informed the media that Chief Minister Prof. (Dr.) Manik Saha along with other state cabinet members, Union Minister of State for Social Justice & Empowerment Pratima Bhowmik, MLAs, Mayor of Agartala Municipal Corporation Dipak Majumder along with other members of AMC, high-ranking 
administrative officials and citizens of different sections of the society would be taking part in the rally. 


 ICA Minister also informed that India’s 75th year of India’s Independence will be celebrated all over the country as well as in the state as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav through various programmes.

 

Har Ghar Tiranga campaign will also be celebrated in the state 
as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav from August 13 to 15.

 

Information & Cultural Affairs department is working as the nodal department to make this campaign successful. 

 


ICA Minister in the pressmeet informed that target has been taken to hoist 5 lakh 37 thousand National Flags in the state.

 

The National Flags are being arranged through Self-Help Groups, TRLM, TULM, Purbasha and the central government.

 

ICA department from its head office at Gandhighat, Agartala has started distributing National Flags to different 
districts from August 6.

 

Total 3 thousand 372 outlets have been opened in the state for purchase of the National Flags.

 

Among these, 169 are in North Tripura district, 310 are in Unakoti district, 247 are in Dhalai district, 299 are in Khowai district, 752 are in West Tripura district, 400 are in Sepahijala district, 676 are in Gomati district and 519 are in South Tripura district.
