Tripura News : Country's lone Muslim BJP MLA says Modi's love for minorities reflected in Triple Talaq ban

Boxanagar Assembly Constituency in Tripura is a unique place – not just in Tripura or North East – in the entire country. Even as it is a minority-dominated area, people elected the first Muslim BJP MLA the in assembly by-polls with a thumping victory.
“Muslim people are increasingly inclining towards BJP owing PM Modi’s ‘Sab ka saath, sab ka Vikas’ vision and Digital India initiative that helped to dispel the fear and misconceptions among the Muslims regarding the saffron party, commented country’s lone BJP MLA, Taffajjal Hussain during a campaign on Sunday.
The MLA from Boxanagar blamed the Leftists for creating fear through false propaganda painting the BJP as an ‘anti-Muslim’ party. When asked why he, being a devoted Muslim joined the BJP and why Muslims in his constituency supported BJP and made him a winner in record vote, Hussain said, “We are convinced that our Prime Minister doesn’t discriminate and gives equal importance to all religions”.
Justifying his statement, Hussain referred to the Triple Talaq. He said, “By preventing Triple Talaq, the PM showed his respect to the dignity of Muslim women which no other leaders showed. By preventing the Triple Talaq, he not only helped the women, but the PM ensured Muslim children – the next generation of the community – do not suffer”.
In PM Modi’s development strategy, education is crucial for progress and that is why the BJP government went for modernization of Madrasas and now Muslim youths have started reaping benefits of this.”The Digital India initiative made Android mobile and internet accessible to people living in remotest parts of the country.
This allowed quicker information dissemination which in turn helped to beat the malicious campaign against the BJP by the opposition parties which did nothing concrete for holistic development of the Muslims in the State and the country “, the MLA commented. He continued and added, “PM Modi introduced a lot of welfare schemes and no one has been deprived because he is a Muslim.
People now have a strong belief on ‘Modi’s Guarantee’ which will be reflected, once again in the upcoming LS Polls. In the last by-poll, Boxanagar people opened the gate and showed the way. I firmly believe Biplab Kumar Deb will get a huge lead from this assembly constituency.
And, BJP would do well in other Muslim-dominated areas. “I urge minority people of other areas to rally behind the BJP so that Modiji become the Prime Minister for the 3rd time as sustainable progress of the minority community, especially women and children”, he signed off.
